This drill was first used for on foundation
exploring for the Papago Fwy. at 44th Street & Roosevelt in Phoenix,
AZ with saving to the taxpayer $40,000.
This is a Mobile Model B-50 mounted on
an International Harvester Tracklayer Model 8-C.
The drill was capable of drilling with a hollow
stem auger, or Down Hole Hammer (DHH) drill and wire line coring.

This was a water well project for the town of Chloride. Drill bore was to accommodate 5" drill casing. Atlas Copco DHH (Down Hole Hammer) used for drilling through solid metamorphic granite. Drill rod size was HQ-wireline. |
